WhatsApp is now ready to roll out Snapchat-like feature for its platform. The ability to scribble on pictures as well as add stickers to them has been spotted on WhatsApp’s latest Android beta version. The messaging platform is reportedly looking to add a host of new features to iOS as well.
According to reports, iOS 10 users will be soon be able to send messages and make voice calls using Siri. Reports suggest, iOS 2.16.10 might have video calls and GIF support, although there is no exact confirmation on when the features will roll out. Other new features in the pipeline include a front facing flash and one-finger video zoom, which will be available only while taking pictures via WhatsApp’s camera.
According to Android Police, WhatsApp might even unblock Telegram link, which the messaging platform had blocked a few months ago. Let us take a look at the top WhatsApp features that might rollout soon:
Scribble
WhatsApp’s new editing tool will allow users to crop, add stickers and scribble on pictures after clicking them from the app’s camera. The feature has been spotted on Android Beta version of the app. There’s a whole new bunch of stickers including arrow sign, dialogue balloons and some of the familiar emojis. Android Police posted a screenshot of WhatsApp’s new editing tools, which also comes with undo option to reverse changes. The set of tools appear on top after you’ve clicked a picture. There’s also a color palette to choose colors from while scribbling or drawing with a pencil. The feature is quite similar to what Snapchat currently offers with its stories, in-camera app.
