All you need to know in the Mayweather vs Mcgregor fight

UFC legend McGregor will take on the unbeaten five-division boxing champion Mayweather in the richest fight in history - understood to be worth in excess of £500million.

The Irishman, 29, has not fought in the UFC since last November and received permission from the promotion to step into the boxing ring.
Mayweather, meanwhile, is fighting for the first time since his win over Andre Berto in 2015.
The 40-year-old has come out of retirement as he bids to win his 50th professional fight against the Dublin fighter at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
But when is all the action? How can you watch it? What are all the details?

When will the fight take place?

The date to put in the diary in Saturday, August 26, although the fight will likely start at 5.30am on Sunday morning.

Where will the fight take place?

McGregor and Mayweather will slug it out at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The venue has a capacity of 20,000 for ring based events.
It has previously seen Canelo Alvarez vs. Amir Khan, Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Gennady Golovkin vs. Canelo Alvarez, UFCs 200, 202, 207, 209 and 213 take place.

Where can I watch the fight?

If you can't get your hands, or stump up the cash, for tickets, you'll be desperate to know how you can watch it.
While Showtime will broadcast the fight live on pay-per-view in the United States, Sky Sports will show the fight in the UK - at a cost of £19.95

How much will the fighters earn?

The mega-fight could generate upwards of £500million.
UFC head honcho Dana White expects McGregor to earn around £100m - although the breakdown of that figure has not been broken down.
Mayweather is thought to have negotiated a bigger slice of the profits.
The fight is expected to break all television box office records.

How much are tickets and when do they go on sale?

The fight is yet to sell out and tickets are available. The cheapest are priced at £390. The remaining seats are on sale at £1,200, £2,000, £2,800, £4,000 and £5,900.

What are the rules?

The fighters will use 8 ounce gloves in a 12 round boxing fight.
Both McGregor and Mayweather will be tested by USADA for performance-enhancing drugs before and after the fight.
